Commissioning a new build yacht is a complex process and is not just like buying the newest of luxury car design. Throughout my career I have been involved in many builds around the world as an owners representative, commissioning manager, quality manager, surveyor, captain, engineer and assisting with registration and legal issues.

 

 It is with this experience I am now able to offer up a bespoke service to owners who are looking to commission or already have a yacht in build, assisting them in making sure that they receive the yacht of their dreams.

 To achieve this I provide a tailored service, where I work with the owner / client, the ship yard and suppliers to make sure that they have a yacht that is built to suit their needs. Details such as build surveys, registration as well as design and fit out areas are just some of the areas where I will work on, making sure the future plans with the yacht are considered throughout the build.

Quality control is very high on my list and my attention to detail on the smallest of issues has provided comfort for owners and crew but also useful feedback to the build yard.

 

I have worked with yards such as CNB, Discovery Yachts, Oyster Yachts, Shipman, Inace, Azimut, Sunseeker, SYS, Pendennis and YDL in New Zealand.

 

 I can work with the client from the outset from finding the right yacht model and ship yard; throughout the entire build process or if required I can come in during the later stages of the build to work with the client and yard for the critical final sea trials and handover.
